WEB William Wayne McMillan Rogers III (April 7, 1933 – December 31, 2015) was an American actor known for playing the role of Captain Trapper John McIntyre on the CBS television series M*A*S*H. He starred in the first three seasons of the show, alongside Alan Alda and Mike Farrell. Rogers' portrayal of the wisecracking and irreverent surgeon was a fan favorite and helped make M*A*S*H one of the most successful sitcoms of all time.

Rogers left M*A*S*H in 1975 to pursue other projects. He went on to star in several television movies and series, including the NBC drama House Calls and the CBS sitcom The McLean Stevenson Show. He also had recurring roles on the NBC sitcom Friends and the CBS drama JAG.

In addition to his television work, Rogers also appeared in several films, including The Longest Day (1962), Stagecoach (1966), and The Towering Inferno (1974). He also directed several episodes of M*A*S*H and other television shows.

Wayne Rogers will be remembered for his witty and charming performances, which brought joy to millions of viewers around the world.
