Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey will not face charges following allegations that he had an inappropriate relationship with a teenage girl. The Oklahoma County District Attorney's office announced on Tuesday that there was not enough evidence to support the allegations.
The allegations against Giddey first surfaced in April when an anonymous Twitter account accused him of having a relationship with a 17-year-old girl. The NBA launched an investigation into the matter, and Giddey was placed on administrative leave.
The Oklahoma County District Attorney's office conducted its own investigation and determined that there was not enough evidence to charge Giddey with a crime. The office said that the girl in question was 18 years old at the time of the alleged relationship, and that there was no evidence that Giddey had engaged in any inappropriate behavior.
The NBA's investigation into Giddey is ongoing. The league has not yet announced whether it will take any disciplinary action against the guard.
